This movie ruined the possibility of a Subtle Knife or Amber Spyglass movie. This film is just plain BAD! Which is sad, as the books were GREAT.

These days, funds are growing to help people who were shunned by their close ones for coming out as LGBTQ+. 40 years ago, if a person came out as LGBTQ+, they'd have lost their job. This century alone we have seen amazing growth of acceptance for minorities. Today's world is one of many minorities coming out and growing. I believe that today's kids need a wider understanding of beliefs, and not only be educated about their parents' religion. Not only Christianity exists, thereby an author isn't obligated to be Christian to write. Dozens of adults here in the reviews shouldn't be allowed to drive. People have been complaining left and right about how it promotes evil (the witches and demons) and demotes good (the church). Now here comes the quote unquote 'problematic' part.

The ending is a tiny bit disappointing, and overall the movie is slightly unfaithful to the movie, but as I look through other reviews talking about how unfaithful it is to the books, they describe it as though it's a Percy Jackson movie. I've seen a lot worse from kids in acting. The CGI was amazingly good, the acting was deliciously good from a main actor that is a minor.
